“Reflections on Dutch America,” a publication of liber amicorum in praise of the Dutch-American heritage as initiated in New Netherland. It will include an introductory essay by Russell Shorto followed by a series of 12-14 chapters by historians on a variety of topics germane to the Dutch experience in the New World and its relationship to modern times. Designed to appeal to a general audience, it will also feature illustrations by Len Tantillo and will be edited by Dr. Martha D. Shattuck. Initial press run is expected to be 1000 copies. Selected individual chapters will also be printed and accompany the traveling exhibition.
