How to use this search facility.
Enter as much or as little data as you wish. If no data is entered the
entire database will be displayed. You may choose either a partial or
exact match. For example, a title in the database is "The Early
New Castle Court." If you have selected Exact Match and you perform
a title search for "New Castle Court" it will not be found.
An Exact Match search would find "The Early New Castle Court."
A Partial Match search using "New Castle" would find the full
title. Commas between words are interpreted as "or" - that
is if any of the words match. Thus, a title search using Partial Match
for "new, castle, dutch" would find the title "The Early
New Castle Court." Partial Match searches combined with commands
can be useful when you are uncertain about how words may be spelled
in the database. For example, a title search for "domine, thes"
would find the title "Domine Thesschenmaeker and the Schenectady
Massacre." Note that searches are case insensitive. If your search
is longer than the entry box, the text will scroll.
